The Social Impact Analyst (SIA) Association
Welcome! This website is under construction while the Social
Impact Analyst (SIA) Association is established. The
Association, originally called the Association of Nonprofit Analysts (ANA), is
to be launched in mid-2010 and will bring together, everyone involved in
analysing nonprofit organisations. Members will include: charity evaluators, academics, grant-makers and
philanthropic advisors. The aims of the Association are to:
By helping practitioners to share and develop their methodologies, the
Association has the potential to transform the nonprofit sector from the bottom
up.
The new Association will be launched in the second half of 2010 when it will
be open to individual and organisational members from around the world. The
first annual conference is scheduled for the later this year. In the meantime, the
Bertelsmann Stiftung and
New Philanthropy Capital are investigating funding opportunities, including approaching potential
founding partners. Social impact analysis is still a nascent practice. There is little awareness
of it and little support for those who do it, yet it can enable charities and
donors to maximise their impact. Social impact analysis is a diverse and
fragmented field:

global membership body for professionals involved in social impact analysis. It
is inspired by the idea that enabling analysts to share best practice will help
